Scrip Fundraising Program
Wings Hockey offers all families the opportunity to participate in the “scrip” fundraising program. Scrip is simply gift cards, e-cards or Script Now from national and local retailers. They are the same cards you would buy at the store. Script Now allows you to purchase script online and use on your smartphone at the register.
Popular retailers include Kwik Trip, Pizza Hut, Arby’s, Einstein Bagels, Starbucks, Panera, and Sams/Walmart and many more. The program is very simple. You buy the gift cards or Script Now at full face value and they are redeemable for full face value. Each business gives a certain percentage back to the association which will go towards your hockey fees. Example of rebates include: Kwik Trip 4%, Pizza Hut 8%, and Land’s End 15%. The participating retailers & rebate list is available on the home page at www.shopwithscrip.com. The only fees involved are splitting of the shipping fee between the families that order gift cards each time and a $.15 per order fee. The shipping fee is generally no more than a couple dollars or less depending on the number of families that order. All the more reason to get more Wings families involved.
To sign up go to www.shopwithscrip.com and follow the “How to Enroll” instructions; look for the “For Families“ blue box. Enter our enrollment code – by entering this code your account will be associated with Wings Hockey so you can begin earning rebates. Fill in all required information.
Also, you must set up a PrestoPay account. Scrip will make 2 small deposits to your checking account and you must let them know the amounts. Then you can begin ordering. Script Now orders can be purchased online. Your bank account will be debited for the amount of your order plus a small convenience fee of $0.15 on the day you place your order.
Orders for gift cards are sent out on as needed basis. Most people need us egift cards to avoid shipping cost. The scrip rebate information on the site does not reflect the shipping fees. Each shippment of plastic cards is $8.50 which will be divided up amongst the families that ordered them.
The orders generally comes in 2 or 3 days. If you ordered cards, I will send you an email when I receive the cards. During the hockey season I distribute them at the games and during the off season we will make arrangements for pickup. If your player does not return to the team, transfers to another team or moves, these earned credits cannot be refunded, they will stay with the organization or you can donate them to another family.
